The art of carpet weaving and flooring has been stretched throughout centuries and generations of our family have proudly been in this business from early 1900s started by Abbas Hosseini (our grandfather), continued by our father Taghi from 1944, followed by family members through the decades. Royalty Rugs in Canada is leading by Hamid Hosseini.

Hosseini Carpet, our first gallery, was established by our father, Taghi Hosseini, with the goal of offering original hand woven Persian carpets around the world.


Opening Armita Oriental Carpet L.L.C store in Dubai - United Arab Emirates - in 1989, was our next step to expand internationally. This was the beginning of a period of great opportunities to learn and experience international trade both in wholesale and retail.

As the result of continued success along with hard work and our family's love for carpet business, we became the most recognized and well known Persian rug company in UAE, located in Persian Carpet Center in the city of Dubai. This was another step toward our ultimate goal of trading all around the world.

Our next business, Royalty General Trading Import, Export was established in 1996 in the downtown of Richmond Hill (20 years at 10133 Yonge Street), Ontario, Canada and quickly gained the reputation for trading original hand woven Persian rugs. We started importing machine made carpets from Belgium, Turkey, and other countries early in 2000s. Soon after we extended our business to include carpet repair and cleaning which was constantly requested by our clients. In late 2016 we shifted our business to mostly online operation.
